How do you choose the wines that go in each Stellar Bottles shipment?
Each shipment includes only the best wines that we find. All selections are from top quality, mostly family-operated, small-scale wineries that use sustainable, organic or biodynamic methods. All are from brick-and-mortar wineries, we’ll never include any private-label wines. Each month, hundreds of wines are assessed and less than 2% make the final cut. It’s the wines that we most like to drink ourselves!
How does it work?
Recurring or subscription plans are New, Crescent and Full Moon. Choose how often you would like shipments, monthly, every other month or quarterly. New and Crescent Moon are shipped in six bottle boxes, three wines, two bottles of each. Full Moon is shipped as three bottles total, one each all different wines. The offering is updated each month. Shooting Star is updated weekly, (not a recurring plan), mix or match whatever you like from each offer.
What if I want something that’s no longer being offered?
We’ll try to accommodate your request whenever possible, but since we’re working with mostly small-scale producers, there is no guarantee that the wine is still available. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What happens if something is out of inventory?
Since we’re dealing with mostly small-scale production wineries, inventory is limited. Some wines are made to only a few hundred cases. If we happen to run out of a wine, we’ll contact you. You’ll have a couple options. We can replace it with another wine or only ship those bottles that do we have. Your billing will be prorated accordingly. Simply let us know your preference.
Are ground shipments free?
Yep. Shipping is always free for orders of $199 or greater to the continental US.
When will my wine be shipped?
All shipments are made within three business days of order placement. For recurring orders, they will be shipped on the same day of month for future orders. We’ll provide the details via email to allow the tracking of shipments.
What happens during temperature extremes?
Since we’re dealing with mostly small-scale production wineries, inventory can run out. Some wines are made to only a few hundred cases. If we happen to run out of a wine, we’ll contact you. How will my wines arrive?
All of our wines are shipped from a controlled temperature facility. The shipping container is specially designed to protect your wines all the way to your doorstep. No polystyrene is used. The shipping container is reusable and recyclable. In some cases, a cold pack may be added to better protect the wines.
What about damaged or lost shipments?
It's a rare event, but if anything goes wrong, simply contact us via email. We’ll make it right!

What are the payment options?
You can use any major credit card- Visa, MasterCard, Discover or AMEX. Your card will be charged on the week that the shipment is outgoing.
What if I don’t like a wine?
We seriously doubt that would happen. But if it does, we’ll give you a credit towards your next shipment. Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
What if I want to cancel or pause an order?
Simply email us at email@example.com.
We’ll need to be notified at least one week prior to the shipment date for recurring orders. Beyond that date, the shipment has been processed and is therefore non-refundable. There is no charge to cancel or change plans.
Why does someone need to sign for my package?
Shipping carriers are legally required to get a signature from someone who is over 21 on deliveries of wine. If this is an issue We highly recommend that deliveries be sent to a workplace or a location where someone will be available to sign.
Is there a membership required?
No, there is no membership fee.
You must be at least 21 years of age to order or receive shipments of alcoholic beverages from Stellar Bottles. Wine shipments require an adult signature and carriers will not leave wine shipments at your doorstep. If you are worried you will not be home to sign, we recommend having the box delivered to a workplace or a different location where someone will be available to sign.
