This has the wow factor. I tasted through the entire range at Moutard while visiting there in early 2019. This was an amazing standout. Made from a single plot of Pinot noir in the southern part of the Cotes des Bar. The name "les Troncs", means the trunks. This is a new cuvee. The color is a pale gold with a pinkish hue. The aroma has an aged autolytic note, complex, it draws you in, it's full on the palate, creamy, weighty, bone dry, yet there is good acidity to keep it together. This is a brilliant Champagne. Serve chilled, but not ice bucket cold. Total production under 400 cases. It's drinking great at the present time.
