This is a sensational Langhe red. This is one of the top value for the money wines tasted this year. Sourced from vineyards in Barolo and Barbara d'Alba. A blend of Barbera, Merlot, Nebbiolo and Cabernet Sauvignon. Hand harvested. Oak aged. The color is deep, well-extracted, the dense color extends fully to the rim of the glass. The aroma and flavors are compelling, black and red fruit fruits galore, plum, exotic spice, smoky oak and smoothly integrated tannins. It's stacked with awards and rightly so. It drinks well from time that the cork is pulled, although it benefits from some air. It holds up very well into day two. Red meats, grilled mushrooms or most any hearty meal would go with it well.
